Joel Ramirez highlights the perfectly balanced Machaca burrito and the decadently cheesy quesadilla, which is so generous it could feed three people. Kevinlowks praises the flavorful carne asada fries and salsas, especially the red salsa, though he wishes sour cream came standard rather than as an extra. Dina Leila enjoyed the freshness and flavor of the tacos but hopes for a bit more warmth upon arrival—a small note that shows El Nuevo Milenio’s food shines brightest, even if the first impression could brighten with just a smile.

Presentation: 6/10 Taste: 9/10 Portion: 7/10 First the good; Carne asada fries were delicious. Salsas were great as well, the red was my favorite. If I'm around the area I will definitely come back. Now the bad; I don't like paying extra for sour cream when it should come included like 90% of all other taco shops. The forks provided were horrible and flimsy and for sure impacted my eating experience. The meat portion was definitely lacking on my fries. Last thing I didn't like was the food containers they use on the fries were the ones with separators in the middle so that means a lil bit less food.

The food here was honestly really good. The tacos were fresh and full of flavor, and I’d definitely come back for the food alone. The only downside was that I didn’t really feel welcomed when I walked in. I understand there might be a language barrier, and that’s totally okay, but even a simple smile can make a big difference. I still enjoyed the meal, I just hope the experience can feel a little warmer next time.

Drive thru, I ordered a Machaca burrito with sour cream and a Quesadilla w guacamole.. The Burrito is one of the best I've had in San Diego. The ratio of meat/beef and eggs were perfect. Tortilla was nice n soft. Green salsa was great. The Quesadilla also a great side order but this thing could feed 3 people. Very cheesy and guacamole made the Quesadilla very tasty. I'm definitely going to try more of their menu. My experience was pretty good and I'll be back.

Pretty solid California burritos and carne asada tacos. I liked both the green and red salsas quite a bit. The protective bars across the counter kind of make this place feel like a prison, but it’s understandable. The guacamole is also quite tasty here. Not a bad choice when looking for Mexican in National City. Update: Been back here a couple of times in the past few months, and have to unfortunately update and lower my rating. I remember the first time I ate here, the burrito was big, flavorful, and filled with meat. My first time back, things were decent, I had hard shell chicken tacos and my friend has a bean and cheese burrito. His burrito was big and my tacos were tasty too. Last night we returned, ordering a mixed burrito with chicken and a bean and cheese. They were both really small. Like weirdly small. The salsas were good still, but the burritos were just tiny for the price. Also, beware of the water, it had a faint yellow sheen and tastes kind of funky.
